1. What is your favorite book or books?
I love to read, and have read a lot of books, so it is difficult for me to just name a few. I would say my top two favorite books of all time would be, one, The Great Gatsby, and two, Pride and Prejudice.
2. What are your hobbies or interests?
My favorite thing to do is being able to spend time with my family, boyfriend and puppy. They mean so much to me and I would be lost without them by my side. Spending time at the beach is also a favorite hobby. I am an outdoor girl at heart and enjoy spending as much time as I can in the great outdoors.
3. What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of myself and how far I have come in my life. I have had to overcome many obstacles to get to where I am today, and I can honestly say I am an overcomer. I have always been a very independent woman and I am proud of the things I have accomplished on my own.
4. What is your favorite quote?
“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.”
Maya Angelou
5. Briefly tell us your life story.
I was born and raised in a small town called Summit, MS. In 2001, my family moved to Richland, MS when I was in my early teen years. After graduating high school in 2008, I attended Hinds Community College for two years then transferred to Mississippi State University (Hail State) in Starkville, MS where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
After graduation, I moved back home and started working with Morgan White Group in 2012. I have been with this amazing company ever since and love being able to work here.
1. What is your favorite book or books?
My favorite books are daily devotional books. I love reading devotionals because they are not only short, sweet and to the point, but they are also great encouragement for the day ahead. My favorite authors are Joyce Meyer and T.D. Jakes.
2. What are your hobbies or interests?
I have many “favorite” activities, but my most “favorite” would be spending time with my family. I love them very much. I also love going to my kid’s sports activities. With all their activities, they keep me busy and on the go. If I’m not traveling and chasing my kids around, I enjoy shopping and participating in most local 5K races.
3. What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my kids. My son, Christopher, is a senior in high school and he is my favorite baseball player. My daughter, Aneesa, is in 8th grade. This is her last year in middle school and she is my favorite short distance track runner. They both are on the honor roll in their schools and they are angels.
4. What is your favorite quote?
“Don’t let yesterday mess up today, which will ruin tomorrow.”
Dr. Tony Evans
5. Briefly tell us your life story.
I was born in Bogalusa, LA, however, I am from Columbia, MS. My mother went to visit family one weekend in Louisiana, and when she got there she went into labor with me. After growing up in Columbia, I moved around as I got older and out on my own. For 25 years, I lived in Crystal Springs, MS then moved to Byram, MS for seven years. Now, Terry, MS is where my family and I currently reside.
In May of 2010, I graduated from Hinds Community College with an Associate’s degree in Medical Billing and Coding Technology. After graduation, I continued working as a manager at a Pizza Hut.
In May 2011, I was presented a temping staff offer for two weeks at Morgan White Group. I viewed this offer as a good opportunity to earn some extra money, but little did I know, two weeks would become nine months. After I temped for nine months, I applied for an open position with MWG Broker Services. Shortly afterwards, I was hired full-time on February 27, 2012 and I have loved working here ever since.
