For more than 140 years, OneAmerica has been a national leader in the insurance and financial services marketplace. OneAmerica specializes in simplicity when it comes to group life and disability products. Their shelf plan availability, for groups 2 to 99, make it easy for brokers working in the small group market. Kim White, Project Manager for MWG Broker Services, spoke to Corey Kines, Senior Regional Manager with OneAmerica, about the new alliance between OneAmerica and MWG Broker Services.

Kim: Corey, you were instrumental in establishing the partnership between MWG Broker Services and OneAmerica. I know you’ve had some experience working with some other life and disability insurance carriers in the past. What is the biggest difference working with OneAmerica?

Corey: The culture in the home office is extremely passionate about helping our customers when they need us most, at claim time. We offer products that people hope to never use, but when they need life or disability benefits, the process is very easy and friendly at OneAmerica. We celebrate our “Promises Kept” (claims paid) in the home office.

Kim: Corey, what benefits do you see for employer groups who enroll in a plan through OneAmerica and MWG Broker Services?

Corey: Extreme ease of administration. MWG Broker Services has a great team! Their processes for consolidating bills, quoting, purchasing, and enrollment is very user-friendly. OneAmerica has great products for as few as two lives. For brokers and groups who work through MWG Broker Services, we’ve waived participation requirements and negotiated higher guaranteed issue amounts on life insurance and lump sum disability. All these factors benefit the employees and employers, allowing them to have access to vital insurance products they may have never had before.

Kim: I also spoke with Ryan Eaton, MWG’s Chief Marketing Officer, about the recent partnership with OneAmerica. Ryan said, “OneAmerica has brought simplicity to the small group life and disability market. Products down to two lives, guaranteed issue policies, minimal participation requirements, and shelf rates with no censes required to get a quote makes it simple to offer life and disability to every group. The ability to put the Premium Saver, dental, vision, life and disability on one bill, makes it easy for the group as well.”

Working with MWG and OneAmerica can help give your groups the life and disability products they are looking for and need. In addition, quoting and enrollment doesn’t get any easier than through the MWG Group Exchange, which is accessed through your Broker Portal.
