Briefly tell us your life story.

I’m a Delta-girl — a farmer’s daughter — who grew up playing in the dirt with my six brothers and two younger sisters (yep, there are nine of us)! My mom loved running around with me, putting me in pageants, and getting me all dolled up — but I always loved to jump on the 4-wheeler, chase the cows, and play in the cotton-trailers after. I have always been a very active, energetic person and I believe that has contributed greatly to my success and staying power in the insurance sales industry for 16 years now! I got married to my first real boyfriend at the age of 19 and was blessed with two sons, Daniel (33) and Dane (29), who both live in Austin, TX. Life threw me some curves and that’s what has made me even stronger. I met my true life-partner, John Shaw, in 2005 and together we became each other’s “earth-heaven,” as we call it. My life today is filled with so much love, laughter, good health, and gratitude — being a part of Morgan White Group has been a huge contribution to that!

What is your favorite book(s)?

‘Your Best Life Now’ by Joel Osteen is one of my favorites and I find myself reading it many times throughout this journey of life. Another one that is more tailored to my career is ‘The Greatest Salesman in the World’ by Og Mandino. It is by far one of the best “career help” books I’ve read, and I actually keep it with me daily in my purse.

What are your hobbies or interests?

I absolutely love the outdoors whether it’s gardening in my yard, hunting and cooking out at deer camp with my family, or riding the 4-wheeler countryside; enjoying God’s creations in nature is my favorite. I also love to travel with all the adventurous experiences it brings. My sales career has awarded my life with many travels around the world — I have been blessed.

What are you most proud of?

Just being a momma! It is truly my identity — who Teresa is from the deepest part of my being. It is my greatest accomplishment and reward in life and one that I never take for granted.
