I grew up in Raymond, MS and graduated from Central Hinds Academy. I met my husband shortly after graduating from high school and got married in 2013. My husband and I had our little girl in 2015 who became the center of our universe. I worked at AT&T before coming to Morgan White in 2016. I started out in Customer Service and worked my way up to be a Training & Quality Assurance Specialist. I moved to Broker Services in February 2021.

Briefly tell us about yourself.
I was born and raised in Satartia, MS with my six older brothers and two younger sisters. I grew up in a bean field, playing on banks of the Sunflower River. Sunday morning church, hunting, fishing, and racing 4-wheelers with my siblings was our life. My brothers taught me so many important life lessons – how to drive a tractor at age 5, kill a deer at age 6, drive a truck at age 7, and how to cook a meal at age 8! Those lessons have served me well! At 23 years old, God blessed me with the love of my life, JD. In 1983, JD began his employment at McGraw Rental & Supply in Ridgeland, MS. He took a small hiatus from McGraw between 2000-03 and we moved to North Carolina. There, God gave JD the desires of his heart, as he accepted a position with NASCAR’s Research and Development for Ray Evernham Motorsports. Now, we live in Madison, MS. We have three beautiful daughters – Annandale, Hannah, and Jasmine. We have been blessed with a growing family as Annandale married her husband David last May and are expecting their first child in August. Hannah joined Morgan White Group in 2018 and was the motivation for me applying in 2019. We both appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful company. Jasmine is a senior at Madison Central High School and plans to attend Holmes Community College in Ridgeland then continue her education at Mississippi College in Clinton.
What is your favorite book(s)?
The Bible. Even more so, as we prepared to celebrate Easter, the first four books of the New Testament. The Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John have much to say about Holy Week. Jesus was celebrated, honored, denied, mocked, arrested, tried, and crucified all in a matter of days. But on Sunday, He rose from the dead, conquering the power of sin and death. Hallelujah! One of my many favorite scriptures is “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3.17
What are your hobbies or interests?
Traveling. Doesn’t matter the mode of transportation – we travel by car, helicopter, plane, ship, or train. I most enjoy traveling with family. The shared experience of traveling strengthens our family’s bond and creates memories for a lifetime. I truly enjoy exploring unfamiliar and mysterious destinations the most. One time, we departed on a 7-day cruise to the Western Caribbean. On day three, we arrived at Cozumel and left the ship without a care in the world. We rented a purple dune buggy and headed off to sightsee the norther part of the island. Little did we know, the GPS on our phones did not operate correctly in Mexico. We never passed a person, house, or any mode of transportation. But it was all good – I had my handy-dandy compass! It only took us five hours to travel 42 miles around the island to get back to the ship. We had a blast! But we will not be doing that again!
What are you most proud of?
My husband, JD Blanton. He was outnumbered almost from the start. Only a few years after we married, we had Annandale and then almost 15 months later, we had Hannah. We learned our lesson and seven years later, we had Jasmine. Surrounded by four women, some people said my husband was a blessed man. Others patted him on the back, shook their heads, and asked, “How many seconds per day are you allowed in the bathroom?” Surely on several occasions JD probably got overwhelmed, but God knew exactly what He was doing when He gave us three daughters. He knew JD was going to be a wonderful father of girls. I am proud of how he demonstrates his love by using specific words of affirmation and offering prayers of thanksgiving and intercession daily. He acknowledges they are worthy and praises their accomplishments. He certainly has set the bar high on how any future husband should treat our daughters.
